Inclusion For All!
In 2017, we added Cub Care Stations as a welcomed retreat for parents & children.
They are utilized for nursing, a quick clean up, or a break from the action.
In 2018, our introduction of Low Sensory evening events furthered our commitment of inclusion for all guests.
In 2019, we ensured all aspects and areas of the park were accessible!
In 2020 – adaptive operations brought our Drive Thru Zoo experience, granting access to all, with access and inclusion in mind.
2021 – Our Low Sensory Evenings Return!
Low Sensory Evenings are a special time for individuals with sensory sensitivities and other needs, to visit and explore the park without the hustle and bustle of our crowds. Our Low Sensory evenings still provide access to all aspects of the park; animal feedings, a keeper talk, concessions, and attractions.
The park will close to the general public at 5 p.m. and reopen at 5:30 p.m. for our Low Sensory Evening guests.
Though these evenings are especially appropriate for children & adults with autism and/or Sensory Processing Disorder, they are open to anyone with any type of special need and their families.
