In 2017, we added Cub Care Stations as a welcomed retreat for parents & children, for nursing, a quick clean up, or a break from the action. In 2018, our introduction of Low Sensory evening events furthered our commitment of inclusion for all guests. 2019, they return!

Low Sensory Evenings are a special time for individuals with sensory sensitivities and other needs, to visit and explore the park without the hustle and bustle of our crowds. Our Low Sensory evenings will still provide access to all aspects of the park; animal feedings, a keeper talk, concessions, rides and attractions.

The park will close to the general public at 5 p.m. and reopen at 5:30 p.m. for our Low Sensory Evening guests.

Though these evenings are especially appropriate for children with autism and/or Sensory Processing Disorder, they are open to children with any type of special need and their families.

No preregistration required, group rates not applicable.

Regular rates apply, free with Park Membership.

Gather your troop, pack, club, and kids to join our Adventure Scout Program! Need not be a “scout” to participate! Open to all children to participate!

Each Spring & Fall our Adventure Scout Series adds a new badge to be earned! The animal specific embroidered badge is earned upon the completion of an educational scavenger hunt for answers, pertaining to our featured species, around the park. Great team building and bonding exercise!

Reading and writing required.

The SLOTH Badge is the ninth Animal Badge of our collectible Adventure Scout Series.

Previous event badges are available for purchase in the Gift Shop; great for making your own shawls, vests, or Adventure Scout uniform!

No extra fees, regular admission rates apply, group rates do not apply. Reservations need not be made nor accepted.

Majestic, Royal, Powerful, Dignified

The African lion is one of the most iconic species of animal in the world.

Annually, August 10th is celebrated as World Lion Day, to bring additional awareness to the conservation needs of these big cats.

At Animal Adventure, we provide additional educational opportunities and presentations, celebrating our pride; Solomon, Bisa, & Ntsumi.
Bisa is the commonly recognized tawny lion, but her companions are rare Timbavati white lions. While all lions need awareness and conservation efforts, white lions are even fewer in numbers! It is said that less than 500 white lions remain on earth!

Our partner and sponsor of our Timbavati White Lion Initiative and African lion exhibit is Visions Federal Credit Union.

To help us celebrate World Lion Day & our partnership- Visions FCU members will receive $5 admission (for all ages 3 and up), when presenting their Visions FCU membership card to our admissions team! This is made possible by the generosity of Visions FCU – a valued community partner.
